SLC Sole Team, SF Crissy Field Introduction for the SF 1/2 Marathoners

This weekend RUN will be an exciting one for a couple of reasons:

- it is gorgeous in crissy field! The bay views of alcatraz, the Golden Gate Bridge, and Fort Point are breathtaking. Enjoy every minute and every step of the run... and don't forget to soak in your surroundings! Let the views inspire you!

- While emeryville is flat and conducive to some speed work, there will be some points for the Crissy Field route that will require some mental toughness, namely the hill work that takes you from the crissy field up to the Golden Gate Bridge. All runners and walkers will try the climb. Get your mantras, your positive thinking, your theme song playing in your mind so that you can tackle the challenging hill work. Perhaps your mantra is: I am awesome and my feet are light as a feather. Maybe you have a theme song that gets you pumped up and inspired? is Miley Cyrus's song, The Climb? (I'm kidding)... May its a song influenced by the lunar new year, Eye of the Tiger by Survivor... or Soul to soul's Keep on Moving?

- Begin to settle in your pace groups and begin to solidify which pace and distance works best for you. Health, gradual increase in mileage and speed, and proper hydration will be key this weekend and for all runs (training runs and the actual run). Begin a practice of hydration during the week before and during the run.

- We continue to grow our group and welcome new members!
